Here is what we make of it

People and place-making are at the heart of what Cultura is about. Our strapline 'here' means 'this place or locality' and 'we' is short for 'all or any of us'. We are all involved in shaping the places where we live. Cultura's values are about being forward-looking, environmentally-friendly and enabling. Our projects are both inclusive and collaborative.

Climate and Heritage in the Countryside 22 March 11am-12 noon

Dr Moses Jenkins from Historic Scotland will talk at this free online event about the practical ways that older buildings can contribute to carbon reduction, reconciling building and energy conservation.  The talk will appeal to people with an interest in the field, including professionals in policy, grants, property, construction, community assets, conservation, climate action and energy.  To register to receive a Zoom invitation please email stuart.parsons@culturatrust.org or telephone 01969 629348.  The talk is part of a programme centred on energy and carbon audit of Gayle Mill and is supported by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority Sustainable Development Fund, and as a national case study for Historic England.  It is also part of a wider community engagement initiative organised by Cultura and aided by the Peter Sowerby Foundation.
