Next Tuesday, 25th July, we are offering you the chance to be involved in creating a 3d image of Senhouse Roman Museum using photogrammetry techniques.

The day starts at 10am and all you need is your mobile phone camera or a digital camera and your lunch. There are only 12 places available, if you’d like more information about taking part please contact either Sue Lister: sue.lister@culturatrust.org  or Jane Laskey: senhousemuseum@aol.com      Be part of keeping history alive

Heritage Open Days 2023

It's that time of year again - your chance to explore some of our cultural heritage for free.  With hundreds of properties around the country open during the ten day festival it's a good idea to plan ahead by looking at the online event directory  https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/visiting/advanced-search   and see what's on in your area.    Three we have links with are shown below. Sunday 10th September finds Warwick Bridge Corn Mill open for guided tours and the chance to see the miller in action:  https://warwickbridgecornmill.co.uk Thursday 14th September finds Gayle Mill open  with our volunteers ready to show you around the three floors of this fascinating water mill and see some of the historic woodworking machinery in operation:  https://gaylemill.org Fancy a vintage bazaar  or seeing some classic vehicles - then head to Heron Corn Mill on Saturday 16th September where you will find Warton Classic Vehicle Group, pre-loved vintage clothing, homeware, bric a brac and garden tools as well as refreshments: https://www.heronmill.org

Our two mills will be open as part of this fantastic festival of all things wind and watermill related. Gayle Mill will be open both Saturday and Sunday between 10 and 4 and Warwick Bridge Corn Mill will be open on Sunday 14th. Team Warwick Bridge in Action

What are you up to this festive weekend?  Why  not get out and about to a local market, support homegrown artisan producers in a market town near you? Team Warwick Bridge are manning stalls at the Christmas Farmers Market in the Fratry at Carlisle Cathedral and at Appleby Market as part of Sparkle Day this Saturday (3rd December) People and at the Buccleigh Centre in Langholm.  They are also going to be in Dumfries on Sunday 4th December. Lots of festive foodie gifts to stock your larder and gift vouchers to redeem for food and all things mill related for those difficult to buy for heritage lovers. No excuses, come and say hi to the team.
